New Patients

Welcome to Ecker Dermatology! No referral is needed by us, but may be required by your insurance. We suggest checking with your insurance provider if this is necessary. We are accessible to the greater Twin Cities area. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow for paperwork to be filled out. Please bring the following to your appointment:

Driver's license
Insurance card
Medications or medication list

Please DO NOT feel you need to get your old records to us, if you are a previous patient of Dr. Ecker. We can obtain what is needed, when necessary.

Upon checking in, you will be asked to pay a copay if your insurance requires it. After you are seen, you will checkout at the front desk and any necessary procedures, labs, or appointments will be made for you at that time. If you do not have insurance, or if you do not have your insurance card, you will be asked to pay in full. We do offer a 20% same day payment discount, typically utilized for non-insurance (cash, check, or credit card) dermatology visits, including the visit and any necessary procedures and tests billed by us.

In addition, Ecker Dermatology offers a 20% discount for same-day payment in full (typically for our cash-paying in clinic medical and surgical patients), excluding products, Botox, fillers, peels, microneedling, cosmetic laser treatments, or any other cosmetic services. We believe in taking care of our patients, whether with or without insurance. We do accept Care Credit. No referral is necessary to see us, but check with your insurance if it is required with your plan.

Policies

Office Policies

On your first visit, you will be asked to review and sign our financial/office policy form. We will provide a copy of this policy to you upon request. All co-pays are due before you are seen. In most cases, visits are considered medical/surgical visits, are billed to insurance, and no fee other than a co-pay is required at the time of service. For example, this is true when a diagnosis has not yet been made, since professional evaluation prior to treatment is necessary to ensure its appropriateness. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to ask. We have other policies and forms to review and sign, including communications consent and MIPS.

HIPAA/Privacy Policy

At Ecker Dermatology, your privacy is of utmost importance. On your first visit, you will be asked to review and sign our HIPAA/Privacy Policy. We will provide a copy of this policy to you upon request.
